Optimization of preparation of calcium acetate from eggshell by Response Surface Methodology (RSM)

Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to investigate the preparation-process parameters on calcium acetate from eggshell. Box-Behnken employed for experimental design, and optimal combination of reaction temperature, solid-liquid ratio, acetic acid concentration, primary time secondary preparing analyzed. Multiple regression analysis fit data second-order polynomial equation, appropriate statistical methods were analysis. The results showed that optimum preparation conditions as follows: temperature 39 °C, ratio 1:12, concentration 159%, 1.5 h 80min. Under conditions, yield 96.5%, which in good agreement with predicted value.
